The left-hand mirror of the transobturator passer. A TOT procedure needs both: the tape is delivered from each side in turn, and each pass has to follow the obturator foramen outward on its own side.
Attempting the second pass with the wrong-handed helix forces the arc against the anatomy rather than along it, which is exactly what the transobturator route exists to avoid. The pair is bought and stocked together for that reason.
Grind, shaft stiffness and handle are identical to the right-hand pattern, mirrored. Stainless steel and fully autoclavable.

What suture sizes will the eye take?

AThe eye is sized for the suture materials normally used in pelvic-floor and vaginal repair. If you are using an unusually heavy suture, tell us the gauge and we will confirm it will pass without binding.

AIt is a reusable stainless steel instrument and is fully autoclavable. It is supplied non-sterile and must be sterilised before first use.

What is the difference between the curved and the right or left patterns?

AThe right and left patterns have a full hook for reaching around structures from each side. The curved pattern has a shallower arc for narrower corridors where a full hook would bind before the tip comes round. The straight has no curve at all, for direct head-on passes.

AFor bilateral procedures, yes. Most pelvic-floor repairs are bilateral and working the wrong-handed curve across the midline is awkward in a deep field. The pair is normally bought and stocked together.
