A lidded plastic soak tray for chemical disinfection of instruments that cannot go through an autoclave — flexible scopes, camera heads, light cables and anything else heat-sensitive.
The plastic is chosen to resist glutaraldehyde and the other aldehyde disinfectants without clouding, softening or absorbing solution over repeated use. A tray that degrades in the solution contaminates the next cycle, which defeats the purpose entirely.
The lid matters more than it appears to: aldehyde vapour is a recognised respiratory irritant, and a covered tray is a basic staff-safety measure wherever soaking is done. A perforated lift-out insert lets a full load be raised clear and drained without reaching into the solution.
Not autoclavable — it is a chemical disinfection tray by design.

Single mat or double mat?

ASingle for a small or delicate set. Double roughly doubles capacity while still holding each instrument separately, which is the usual choice for a full laparoscopic set. The upper tray lifts out so the double can be used as a single.

Why choose a perforated box over a solid one?

ASteam has to reach every instrument surface and condensate has to drain. A solid-walled box prevents both, which is why loads in solid boxes come out wet and can fail sterilisation checks.

What is the silicone finger mat for?

AThe raised fingers grip each instrument and hold it apart from its neighbours, so nothing shifts in transit. It is the right choice for fine-tipped and delicate instruments, where a knock ruins the working edge.

ANo. The aluminium case is for storage and transport of an already reprocessed scope. Surface disinfect it only.

Are these boxes autoclavable?

AThe stainless steel boxes and the silicone mats are fully autoclavable at standard parameters. The Cidex tray and the aluminium scope case are not — the Cidex tray is for chemical soaking and the scope case is for storage and transport only.
