A 400 W electrosurgical generator combining conventional monopolar and bipolar diathermy with a dedicated vessel-sealing mode, so one unit covers cutting, coagulation and sealing. The seal mode fuses vessels up to 7 mm by applying pressure and energy together, melting collagen and elastin in the vessel walls and reforming them into a permanent seal. Feedback control ends the cycle when the seal completes rather than running for a fixed time — which is what removes the guesswork, and what stops the operator either under-sealing or charring the tissue. Cut offers pure, two blend settings and endocut. Coagulation covers spray, forced, fulgurate and desiccate. Bipolar adds bi-coag, bi-cut, auto-start and seal. Ninety-nine user-settable programs mean a surgeon's preferred settings are recalled rather than dialled in each list. Safety is built to EN 60601-1 with body-protected and cardiac-protected design, HF leakage held below 150 mA, and continuous patient-plate monitoring that alarms on poor contact before it becomes a burn. Separate monopolar and bipolar/seal footswitches.

  • Colour stays consistent when dimmed

    Dr. Manish Rawat Verified purchase

Tissue colour does not shift as you reduce output, unlike our old xenon which drifted noticeably as it aged. Touch screen is straightforward to use.

  • Ninety-nine programs is genuinely useful

    Dr. Imran Shaikh

Each surgeon's preferred settings are stored and recalled rather than dialled in at the start of every list. Saves time and avoids errors.

  • No more bulb changes

    Dr. Meera Iyer Verified purchase

The single biggest advantage. We were replacing xenon bulbs regularly and tracking lamp hours; that has simply stopped being a task. Output is comparable to the 300 W xenon it replaced.

  • Seal mode is reliable

    Dr. Farhan Qureshi Verified purchase

Feedback control ends the cycle when the seal is done rather than on a timer, which takes the guesswork out. We have had consistent seals up to the stated 7 mm.

  • Plate monitoring gives confidence

    Dr. Kavita Menon

Alarms on poor pad contact before it becomes a problem. Given what a return-electrode burn means, that is not a feature to economise on.

  • Q

    Is installation and training included?

Asked by OT Technician, City Care Hospital · 22 Jun 2026

    A

We provide installation guidance and configuration support. For the generator we strongly recommend a proper handover session covering the mode range before first clinical use — contact us to arrange it.

  • Q

Does the generator need a special footswitch?

Asked by Dr. Vikram Sethi · 30 May 2026

    A

Separate monopolar and bipolar/seal footswitches are used and are supplied with the unit. Replacements are stocked if one is damaged.

  • Q

    Is 180 W LED really equivalent to a 300 W xenon lamp?

Asked by Dr. Kavita Menon · 26 May 2026

    A

In practical output, yes. LED converts far more of its power into usable light rather than heat, so the wattage figures are not directly comparable. Users replacing a 300 W xenon generally report no loss of illumination.

  • Q

What size vessels can the generator seal?

Asked by Dr. Sandeep Joshi · 16 May 2026

    A

Up to and including 7 mm in diameter, and tissue bundles within that range. The feedback control ends the cycle when the seal is complete rather than running for a fixed time.

  • Q

How long does the LED actually last?

Asked by CSSD Supervisor, Shree Hospital · 15 Apr 2026

    A

It is rated beyond 50,000 hours. At typical theatre use that is effectively the service life of the unit — it converts the lamp from a consumable into a fixture.
